Names for Dogs

Many owners, when they buy your dog have difficulty choosing a good name for him.
The name of a dog is very important, besides being the name by which people interact with the dog, it also influences how strangers will see your dog. A dognamed "Fluffy" tends to get more answers from people friendly stranger thanthat is called a "Killer" for example.
Besides the choice of the name must take into account the response of dogowners usually want your dog to learn to recognize their own names andrespond when called, but few know that the name can influence these responses.
It isn't easy an original name, expressive and affectionate that takes intoaccount other aspects such as phonetic.

Sounding names of dogs

The name of a dog should don't have more than two syllables, not only to facilitate their pronunciation as to be more understandable to the dog. Much less should have more than one word. A dog recognizes his name by sound, especially the strongest and syllables or end of the word.
The word must have open vowels, like á, é, ó and ultimately hi, so the name issounding effortless and easy to hear the dog when it is far away. The shorter thename, the faster the response of the dog, so names like "Skip" are great choicesfor names, simple and easy for the dog to recognize.
Although short and simple names are most recommended, any name can be used and almost all dogs can learn their own name regardless of the length of it, only names ending with "ao" should really be avoided because it impairs thelearning of the dog.

  3. My Min Pin's are named; Monet, Emmi and Paisley. Their names fit them perfectly. I have always waited at least 2 - 3 weeks before naming my pets so I can see their personalities first. I find it very rewarding not only for me but my purebred's too!
